The Procedure

Once a medical history is completed, the client lies on a comfortable bed. A lubricated disposable speculum is inserted into the rectum. Filtered water enters the colon via an inflow area of the speculum and waste material leaves via an outflow area. This closed system prevents spills and odours. Abdominal massage helps in evacuation. Water temperature and pressure can be varied for comfort and effectiveness. The treatment takes about 45 minutes. Aromatherapy and music aid in relaxation. After the cleanse, acidophilus mixed in Quinton isotonic solution is inserted into the rectum to restore intestinal flora and electrolyte balance. During a quiet time of 15 minutes, the solution is absorbed into the body.

The Transcom® system (Health Canada approved), is made in Spain and has been in use for many years throughout Europe. Speculums and tubing are disposable and made of bio-compatible materials. Water temperature and pressure are adjustable and have safety features. Water is carbon filtered and treated with ultraviolet rays to eliminate bacteria and viruses.
